Snowshoeing is very basic: strap on some shoes and wander as you please. Whether it’s in the early morning as the sun is rising; midday following a winter storm; or a late moon-lit stroll, the serenity of quietly “shoeing” on fresh powder is peaceful and healthy.

Since Wellnesste Lodge and Central New York is famous for its abundant winter snowfall, many winter guests at Wellnesste bring along their snowshoes and enjoy exploring the winter whiteness of the property. We have over 60 acres for you to enjoy and explore with on a peaceful snowshoe hike!Be sure to take along your favorite camera on your snowshoe adventure. The thrill of finding fresh coyote tracks or coming across a flock of wild turkey while enjoying the fresh air is therapy in itself and make for memorable photos. Also, don’t forget to pack your some hot cocoa and a snack, there’s nothing better than to sit in the woods and take it all in with a cup of cocoa in your hands.

In addition to enjoying short snowshoe hikes just outside your cabin, there are also great longer trails nearby for enjoying snowshoeing day trips...
